Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thailand fighter, mixed martial artist and currently fights in the UFC flyweight division. She is the sister of the fellow UFC fighter and an earlier UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fighting sport career in the form of a Muay Thai kickboxer. She made her debut in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko was the winner of the event and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a the unanimous vote. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007, a medal of bronze in 2008 and an award of gold in the year 2011. She was also crowned IFMA Amateur Muaythai World Champ in the year 2016. Antonia's professional debut was in 2003. In 2012, she was the winner of in the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 she took home the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 she won the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas during her final match in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. It was an unanimous decision to win. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She prevailed in the second-round TKO and won her next two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003 to amass a record of three-three. Shevchenko took a short break from MMA and focused on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko won against Anissa by unanimous decision, followed by a win over Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left the Phoenix FC 4 promotion in 2018 to join Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina knocked out Nievera using her impressive strike power during the clinch, using knees to body. Antonina's UFC contract was extended after this victory. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters' Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi in a split-decision fight following her first bout by unanimous decision. Antonina has recovered from her loss after defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler via a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the fight-ofthe-night prize. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn Cookagian, and won Ariane Lipski's three bouts. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
